Slipknot has posted a new 360-degree music video online for the song “The Shape.” The clip has been unveiled to mark the occasion of the band’s YouTube channel surpassing one billion total views, according to a press release. The video was filmed at last September’s Knotfest and was directed by percussionist Shawn “Clown” Crahan, who helmed all the band’s videos for years.
The clip provides several alternate angles from the stage, allowing viewers to drag the camera up, down and around for views that audience members wouldn’t otherwise see. The video also captures the band’s first-ever live performance of the song, as part of a set that included their entire Iowa album.
