Three men have been apprehended for their suspected roles in Steuben County residential burglaries.

Westfield, Pennsylvania, resident Zachary L. Barber, 27; Cameron Mills resident Christopher M. Sutton, 23; and Jasper resident Mark J. Walton, 45, are each charged with felony second-degree burglary, New York State Police announced Friday.

Sutton faces an additional charge of third-degree burglary, a felony.

Police say their six-month investigation into multiple residential burglaries in Woodhull, Troupsburg and Jasper led them to the trio. Police recovered a “large quantity” of stolen property, including a handgun and several long guns.

Barber also faces charges of misdemeanor petit larceny and criminal possession of a weapon. Walton is additionally charged with misdemeanor criminal possession of a weapon.

Additional arrests are pending, police noted.

Barber, Sutton and Walton were each arraigned in criminal court and remanded to the Steuben County Jail on $20,000 bail or $40,000 bond.

The investigation continues, and anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 607-776-6866 or 585-728-5007.

Troopers from Hornell and Wayland barracks, and officers from the Bureau of criminal Investigation assisted.
